"Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. " - Matthew 24:35

"Having purified your souls by your obedience to the truth for sincere brotherly love, love one another earnestly from a pure heart, since you have been born again, not of perishable seed but of imperishable, through the living and abiding word of God; for 'All flesh is like grass and all of its glory like the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls, but the word of the Lord remains forever." - 1 Peter 1:23-25

Dr. Bart Ehrman is a New Testament scholar and is the author of over 20 books. Ehrman has repeatedly argued that the NT cannot be the Word of God because the copies of the NT which we presently possess are error-ridden. We cannot possibly reconstruct the NT text. Ehrman will go on to say there are more errors in the NT manuscripts than there are words in the NT itself! Ehrman incorrectly assumes that the doctrine of Biblical inerrancy and infallibility is dependent on the presence of the original autographs, or an exact single copy of the original autographs. Like most NT scholars, Ehrman claims that the 27 books of the NT canon were not "decided" until various councils of the late 4th century AD, and even later. In this presentation, Henry Smith debunks four of Dr. Ehrman's errors, leaving the audience with the confidence that the NT text and canon can be trusted.
